Largely through the efforts of Rob Kersey, there is now a Dunkirk Studios store at CafePress, where people can buy t-shirts, mousepads, bumperstickers, coffee mugs and even wall clocks with images from "The Sacrifice" and other Dunkirk Studios projects!

Currently, we have a fairly small selection, but more will be coming soon!

My friend, Linda, who's a tech writer, helped me put together a pretty slick press kit. I want to tweak it a little, before putting it on the website, but it was good enough to print out and send along with our submission to "Out on Screen" in Vancouver this week.

I'm a little annoyed that we seem to have missed the deadlines of some of the gay film festivals in Boston, already, but I have a few I'm preparing submissions for.

We counted 26 people - enough to fill the space. Our film went first and everybody really seemed to get into it. There were some big laughs in the right places and everybody jumped a mile, when the zombie hands grabbed Jonathan. Afterwards, we got a lot of compliments on the look of the movie and the quality of the acting.

"Lycan Colony" was a riot, and the cast and crew were great to hang out with. We hope to see more of them, in the future, and we want to say a big "Thank you!" to Tim Deal, who set this showing up, and the guys at Smuttynose, for their support!

I hear they're already planning the next indie film showing in their "Unfiltered Films" series!

As mentioned earlier, "The Sacrifice" will be showing as part of a double-feature with "Lycan Colony" on Sunday, March 26th, at the Smuttynose Brewery in Portsmouth, NH.

The festivities begin at 4pm.

"The Sacrifice" will be showing first, followed by "Lycan Colony" and there will be time for discussions about both films.

Erich and I were both dragging with the flu this weekend, but several friends showed up to help put the new DVDs in their cases and shrink-wrap them -- about 900 of them. It took a total of seven hours, but it's finally done! Our thanks to everyone who helped out!

Now we get to send out DVDs to everyone who worked on the film or has placed an order for one...

Superdups has completed the new run of DVDs, as of last Friday! They came out great and we are very happy with the results. We really appreciate the concession they made to us, offering to do another run, in order to make things right.

We've begun re-packaging the DVDs, in order to fulfill some online orders, but the big "DVD re-packaging party" will most likely be this coming Sunday. There are probably about 900 left, that need to be swapped out for the old ones.

"The Sacrifice" will be showing on March 26th at the Smuttynose Brewery, in Portsmouth, NH. This marks the first of what will hopefully be a recurring monthly film night for the brewery. Our film is part of a double-feature, alongside a film called "Lycan Colony" ( http://www.witsendpro.com/lycancolony/ ), a local NH film about werewolves, by Rob Roy.

In anticipation of the new DVD release of "The Sacrifice", we've redone the website. The old images have been replaced with newer ones, there's more color (to replace the old pale gray design) and some extra pages have been added, such as Downloads and some thoughts about what I was trying to "say" with the film. More changes are coming soon!

We've put together a new DVD master for "The Sacrifice" and dropped it off at Superdups. We should have a new run of DVDs soon!

Then we'll have to have a "DVD packaging party," supplying pizza for anyone willing to spend the afternoon opening up the old DVD cases and swapping the DVDs for new ones. Woo-hoo!
